Our Fire and Security Conferences
Developing our Fire and Security Conferences aimed to create an environment that reflected and allowed for exploration of the rapid urbanization and infrastructure growth within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The rapid growth has led to many industries calling for new, stringent fire safety measures – to support the expansion of tourism and reinforce safety for the citizens of respective countries.
Iconic Projects like the Burj Khalifa and The Line in Saudi Arabia, demand sophisticated fire safety solutions. These solutions in turn, further evolve the implementation of world-class fire-safety codes and standards. This was to be explored thoroughly through the Fire Middle East Conference 2024, which we hosted in Riyadh in May.
The call for the evolution of codes and compliance comes in response to high-profile incidents, such as the 2017 fire at the Address Downtown Hotel in Dubai. Events like this, catastrophic as they are, stand as catalysts for change. These incidents highlight the importance of building regulation, proper material usage and storage, and the need for continuous updates to safety regulations.
As markets evolve, the fire safety industries must seek to utilize the new technologies available to meet the demands made obvious by these incidents and called for by iconic projects. To further catalyze this, the Fire Middle East Conference took place in May 2024, with specific panels and keynotes focused on developing best practices, codes and compliance.
The Best Fire and Security Conferences
Bob Rea chaired the Fire Middle East Conference 2024, bringing together experts from the likes of Hydrock, Saudi Aramco, The National Water Company and more, discussing the implementation of new technologies like residential sprinklers, to the bettering of existing codes and practices to ensure that buildings and projects are as safe as they can be from codes to completion.
Experts analysed the paths open to builders, contractors and those in similar job roles, and how easy it is for them to implement codes and compliances, alongside best practices, to properly develop and create everything from small apartments to large-scale giga-projects such as the Line, Al Mukaab, and more.
The philosophy behind the Fire Middle East Conference, shared by its sister conference, the Security Middle East Conference, is that through shared networking and the combining of best practices from experts all across the industry, buildings and works can be made safer, more efficient, save money and most importantly, negate the loss of lives entirely. The entire conference is built from the ground up, with this philosophy in mind.
Fire and Security Conferences are numerous, however, the best allow for innovations and opportunities to take centre stage, openly exploring problems and solutions. The Fire Middle East Conference will return in 2025, and continue to put innovative solutions centre stage, in a manner, that allows for full demonstrations of new innovative technologies, which will serve to further save and shape lives.
Whats next for our Fire and Security Conferences?
Next for our Fire and Security Conferences, is the development and then execution of these events, again in Riyadh, in May 2025. New experts will take part in new panels, which will again explore the most recent, prevalent challenges the Security and Fire industries are facing in the Middle East at the moment.
Alongside the conference section, the Fire Middle East Conference will hold a new exhibition hall, in which businesses and exhibitors will come together with members of the public to further push innovation and fuel the fire of change in the region.
